Talespinner will return to the stage once state and federal officials have given the all clear to gather with others and TCT has solidified a health and safety plan for our guests and artists. Keeping everyone safe is our top priority. Thank you for your support!

Outreach Residencies & Workshops

Residencies

Our multi-day residencies are open to all students from kindergarten to grade 8. They are perfect for sharing with a whole school or group but you may also choose to focus only on certain grade levels or age groups. Residencies can be scheduled back to back, or spread out over two weeks.

Workshops

Workshops are perfect for giving your students a single-class experience and are also open to kids aged kindergarten through grade 8. Students will receive a one-time, fast-paced arts experience that will exhilarate and encourage them to use their imaginations and creativity.

Residencies and Workshops help children learn and use:

  • Teamwork
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Poise
  • Confidence
  • Creative expression

and can be adapted to incorporate literature or projects that your class or group is working on.

Virtual TCT Residencies and Workshops!

TCT wants to bring our interactive theater workshops to your classroom’s Zoom! In our single session Zoom classes, our experienced teaching artists interact and play along live with your students. These class sessions range from focusing on the Basic Acting skills of Mind, Body, and Voice all the way to discussing original play creation, with plenty in between. We hope to leave Young Artists exhilarated and encouraged to use their imaginations! The content of our theater lesson can be tailored to the needs of your classroom. We have a range of lesson plans available, starting with our Basic Acting class for all ages, Grades K to 12.

Program schedules are flexible with 30 to 90-minute sessions. Fees are $125 per 30 minutes. While each session is preferred for a maximum of 12 for 1-2 artist teachers, multiple sessions can be scheduled back to back to accommodate more students.
